This is a photo of Zach's night stand as I found it this afternoon while bringing up baskets of laundry. That particular frame used to house a picture of Zach at the pool when he was around three but he must have switched it out in the last couple of days for an image more near and dear to his heart. The Nielson's lived across the street from us in WA and were the best friends a family could ask for. It might look like disarray but rest assured that sitting aloft his tower of books amidst his water bottles and cast off candy wrappers (apparently he has been keeping a stash up there) is indeed a place of great honor in the world of an 11 year old boy. It should be noted that there are no pictures of his OWN family anywhere to be found.

Rachel, I have to tell you, that made my kids' day! Jens thinks that is the coolest thing he has ever seen! And boy do we miss you guys!! Is the first week in August still going to work for you? I can not wait to see you and just talk! The kids seem to think it is like Christmas all over again! Love ya!
